Plant Committee

Me, Persi, Cidette, and Nora have been working on establishing the Plant Party as a solution to all of the plants dying and the issues with all of the gnats. We've divided up certain research tasks to different people to focus on different things. one person is researching to figure out what species of plant we already have so that then assess the specific needs for each plant. Another person is researching other possible houseplants to get to replace all the ones that have already died. I've also been working on creating a schedule to be able to fill out so that we can keep track of when the plants are watered and how much they need. Along with that, I've been corresponding with Dr. Ott on figuring out solutions to the gnat issue we've been having in our school. We've found it's because the plants have been overwatered and the roots have been starting to decay, which has been attracting the gnats that lay eggs that further deteriorate the plant roots. We've gotten a lot of headway all working together in figuring out the issues of the school's plants we need to address and I think that with everyone contributing, the school is going to be a much nicer and gnat-less place.
